Sun Beach Resort is
located in Kg. Genting in Tioman is a haven for
swimming, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling,
boating, water-skiing and windsurfing under the
tropical sun. There is a paved road that connects
Kampung Genting with Kampung Bunut, Kampung Paya
and Kampung Tekek.
Kampungs are rural Malay villages characterized
by wooden houses on stilts.
Legend has it that Pulau Tioman is the resting
ground of a beautiful dragon princess who, while
flying from China to her beloved in Singapore,
sought solace in the crystal-clear waters of the
sea. Pleased with the island's charms, she discontinued
her journey to give pleasure and comfort to passing
travelers by turning herself into an island.Tioman
Island is shaped like a drum stick with the “fleshier”
part to the south. The most developed town on
the island is Kampung Tekek.
Nearby is the airport and the main jetty for ferries
